UPDATE: This girl still has no idea what's going on! (But she thinks she has a pretty good idea...)

So I got the Summer 07 Knit.1 mag and am working on the Seed Stitch Bolero (which according to The Knitting Directory is actually the Moss Stitch, but whatev...) with Lily's Sugar and Cream giganto-skeins I bought at Michael's for 5 bucks each. It's looking really great. Finally got US5 DPNs and (oh-my-gosh, oh-my-gosh) a grey sheep tape measure. I should have enough yarn (from telling everyone "This is what I want for my birthday") to make the Leaf Hem Skirt, too. I'll go to the discount fabric store and get silk ribbon for the (hello) ribbon tank to (maybe) go with the skirt.
Micah's so funny. He's risking a yarn store to get my present. He's such a sweetheart.
I found out Friday I was getting a little over $1,950.00 back from the Federal Gov. I wonder if that includes the $450.00 I thought I had to pay them? I got the check today and that feels nice.

Just a Quick Note-To-Self.

Finished 2nd strap yesterday; started decorative panel today. Going to buy US #4 DPNs today. Make Squid iPod cozy after finishing Nola's wine cozy? Maybe Squid cozy will be done in time for birthday? I'll probably buy iPod birthday weekend. I don't even like iPods! I'm getting a Creative Zen V Plus 2G or 4G!!

Just random blogging...

Finished Karen's scarf Thursday evening. She'd better like it or she & I can no longer be BFF. When I first professed my desire to start knitting, she asked "I don't knit but could you knit me a scarf?" I know... how rude! So I knit her this crazy-long stockinette scarf (the cotton candy one) and her birthday is tomorrow. I put all this time into it and, like I said, if she doesn't like it we can no longer be friends. You knitters understand. And if that does tragically happen, I'll have a very long pink scarf of my very own.

I started a purse Saturday afternoon, finished the body Sunday; made one strap Sunday also. Starting the second strap today. So I'm about 2/3 done. I'm only noting all this because I need to make Nola's late Mother's Day/early Fourth of July wine cozy. I'll finish the purse after I finish that. I'm hoping to give it to her exactly betwixt MD & FoJ... We'll see. If no, then it'll just be for the Fourth.

I'll want to start a knitting diary. A book one. Just so I can remember what I've knitted.
