That infernal baby blanket is supposed to be Colorado tomorrow - I miscalculated - and I've not even finished knitting it yet! I still have to block too! Gak! Maybe the baby'll be late... What ev.
I have to redo Micah's hat. Did I already tell you? I missed a stitch and the darn thing all unraveled. It's all right. I didn't like the top of it anyway. And summer's coming! Why did I start a wool beanie for Micah in the Springtime?
Mother's Day is coming and I still haven't started the 3 uteri (uteruseses?) for my uterus-less friends. (Not to mention the two ovaries for Gerry B.) 18 days. Tick-tock-tick. And I also still have to make a wedding present for Mr & (soon-to-be) Mrs Mike. I'll have to bike to the doggie beach with my camera Friday... wouldn't it be tragic if I ran into puppies? Terrible.
I found out I bought the wrong knitting directory book. I bought the Knitting & Motif Directory when I meant to buy the Knitting Directory. I wonder if Barnes & Noble will accept it - it does have their bargin label on it, after all - and trade that for the one I want without a receipt... I think they should.

I haven't checked my email since Thursday... I subscribe to the Lion Brand e-newsletter. In their email from Friday, I saw exactly what I'd been searching everywhere online for. A sushi wallet!! [Lion Brand 1189 (red); Lion Brand 1188 (blue) looks nothing like sushi.] It was on sale so I immediately go to the site. They are both OUT OF STOCK!! Just my luck! So of course I go straight to eBay and thank goodness they have it. I'm going to check the original manufacturer's, Pick Up Sticks Online, but this is what i mean... I search the internet high and low and when I find what I'm looking for it's no longer available. **It is still available, just not through Lion Brand. I will have to see if it is less expensive through PUSO or through eBay.
I saw Grindhouse (double feature) on Firday. If you're into Quentin Tarantino, zombies, Kurt Russell, B movies, or anything crazy in general, you will like this movie. If you are thinking of taking your kids, don't. Both movies are rated R. If you know anything about Quentin Tarantino, you wouldn't anyway... I'm just letting you all know. I also went and saw Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters. If you're not an Aqua Teen fan, or don't know what the heck that is, DO NOT GO SEE THIS MOVIE AND DEFINITELY DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN!! This movie is also rated R. But, if you like Aqua Teen, you will like this movie. I think it is the dumbest movie I have ever seen... it was awesome.

I just read on Yahoo that Kurt Vonnegut - one of my favorite authors - has died. If you don't know who Kurt Vonnegut is, where have you been? I'm wearing the sweater I won at the knitting group raffle last night - thanks Heather - and everyone so far thinks it looks really nice. [Yet another picture pending.] Thanks Monica (?) for making it and giving it to the raffle. Got one of the two Ice Dog satchels. Hooray! Had to logic a pair of US8 straight needles from a new lady to the group... she was using a pair and I'd won a pair of US9 and needed to replace one of my US8 needles I'd lost to our sofa. I didn't want anyone to think I was trying to swindle her!

Going to a wedding May 12 with boyfriend & his guy friend up in Ventura... we're all three giong to share a room as it'll be more cost-effective... Micah thinks it won't be very romantic... we're going to a wedding, that's the least romantic thing ever...

Now all I need to learn is Crochet...

I've learned how to knit with DPNs!! All by myself, too. I'm making Micah a beanie to match his scarf. Row 1 Knit, Row 2 Purl, and so on. I've learned to knit, purl, make ribs, seed stitch, straight needles, circular needles, double point needles... Hooray! I love knitting so much. I wish my camera hadn't been stolen so I could take pictures of everything.
Besides the beanie, I'm currently working on a pink head coif thing... it's cute and kitschy! I might make wrist warmers to go with it...
